RECENT WORK
In recent projects, we deployed the University of Maryland’s first campus-wide Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) / NIST SP800-171-compliant IT infrastructure for research computing, researched and designed a very high-performance, state of the art heterogenous and software-defined IT architecture for DoD projects, worked with a team that analyzed multi-terabyte datasets with streaming real-time data coming into each dataset, and completed a comprehensive audit of a defense contractor’s IT systems, processes, and policies.

William Burns
Owner and Principal Consultant
William Burns has more than 15 years of IT experience across business, industry, government, and academe.
In his various roles and positions, he has served as programmer and systems administrator responsible for building and managing super- and cluster computers, Linux research systems and developed various applications and databases to support complex research and administrative functions. In addition, he worked as lead systems engineer for a DoD-sponsored research center, and served as a system architect, principal on all research computing, and as an internal auditor.
